D73 Strategic Planning

“Vision without action is merely a dream.

Action without vision just passes the time.

Vision with action can change the world.”

- Joel A. Barker

Thank you to our parents, families, teachers, staff, administrators, Board and community members for coming together over the weekend to engage in our collaborative strategic planning process.  Our day was filled with fruitful dialogues and positive exchanges of ideas.

We look forward to the compelling vision, goals, and future this work will bring forward to our staff, school, and community.

Remote Learning Snow Day - Part Two!

Given the frigidly cold temperatures and excessive snow, there will be no in-person school tomorrow -Tuesday, February 16th; rather, there will be remote learning for ALL students.  All in-person activities and appointments are cancelled as the school building will be closed.

For our in-person students, your child’s teacher will be reaching out with links to connect on Tuesday via your regular schedule (preK-5th grade in the morning; middle school in the afternoon).  For our remote students, schedules and links will remain the same.  All students will continue to be immersed in a full day of live streamed and asynchronous learning.  Please check-in with your child’s classroom teacher(s) through ClassDojo or Google Classroom.  All instruction and assignments will be shared through those resources as well.

Stay warm, stay safe, stay inside!

Your voice and feedback, please...

Your feedback is wanted, needed, and deeply valued!  The Illinois 5Essentials Survey opens on Wednesday, February 3rd.  This survey is a tool that schools across the state use to gather feedback from families, students, and staff regarding the culture and climate of their school community.  Your feedback is anonymous and completely confidential.  This information is reported out in aggregate as part of our state report card and factors into our overall school rating.  Here is a link to the 5Essentials survey.

Thank you for sharing your insight on this school year to help us learn, grow, and continuously improve!
