Band is back!!!

 Congratulations to the 4th grade Panther Band, 5th grade Panther Band, 6th grade Concert Band, and 7th & 8th grade Symphonic Band on three incredible performances!

This afternoon's school performances were the perfect way for our school to come together and celebrate the success brought about by hard work, practice, and dedication.

This evening's performance for friends and families was the perfect capstone!  It is amazing to see the East Prairie band program grow and thrive during this time.  Way to go Mr. Berlinghof and Panthers!!!

Welcome home EPS Class of 2018!

Thank you Mrs. Rosenberg, Mrs. Kelly, Mrs. Gavin, and Ms. Smeeton for bringing the East Prairie Class of 2018 back together!  The students’ excitement and enthusiasm speaks volumes to the impact their teachers and this community have had on them.

Congratulations to our entire community on raising $16,637 - 110% of our goal - for the PTA through this year’s Panther Dash!  The opportunities these funds will afford our kids, families, and school is simply sensational!  This outcome is also an incredible reminder of the power in a team setting an audacious and clearly defined goal - then committing itself to day in and day out work of reaching it.  This amazing achievement will be celebrated with an all school donut party sponsored by the PTA next Wednesday, 5/25.

Thank you to the PTA for organizing a phenomenal fundraising and community building event! Thanks to the immense care and generosity of our community, we surpassed our goal raising $16,427!!! This outcome is also an incredible reminder of the power in a team setting an audacious and clearly defined goal - then committing itself to day in and day out work of reaching it.

Beyond the immense financial generosity of our families and community, it is inspiring to think what these resources will translate to in terms of resources, programming, and opportunities of support for our kids, teachers, and families - helping to bring us even closer together as an East Prairie community!  A thunderous applause, congratulations, and thank you to all involved in making today fun and impactful!

"Piece It" Together Panthers!

 This week's morning professional development time was spent doing some team building.

 Every educator was given a blank blue 2x2 foot sheet of paper, black marker, mini puzzle piece, as well as, the directive to create their piece and then work with others to put the whole puzzle together.

That's when the real fun and magic began...

It took some time...

Some communication...

Problem-solving...

And some more time...

But we got there!  Together! (while also having some fun along the way)

And our collective takeaway, building a school where ALL children learn at high levels while also feeling valued, safe, and included is hard work, and like anything truly exceptional can only occur if EVERYONE contributes and works together - doing the right work, the right way! 

Teacher Appreciation Week!!!

 Teacher Appreciation Week is upon us!   This week is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the excellence that is our East Prairie teaching team!  The devotion, expertise, and care of our educators is unparalleled and beyond measure!  This team of caring and committed professionals has not simply managed their way through the ongoing pandemic, but has utilized it as an opportunity to transform the mindsets, practices, systems, and structures of our school to ensure the very best for our kids and families.
