From the Nurse's Office

Here is a link to a video that Nurse Hannah put together to more fully introduce herself and overview the most updated COVID guidance.  Please note, that guidance is frequently changing, and that all decisions continue to be made in partnership with the Skokie Health Department.  This video highlights:

  • SHIELD testing

  • communication and next steps regarding close contacts and positive cases

  • criteria for sending students home from school and next steps for families

  • COVID vaccine information for kids

Please reach out to Nurse Hannah (hsahyouni@eps73.net  /  847-673-1176) with any questions or if there is anything we can medically do to further support your child(ren) and family.

Outdoor Adenture!

We are fortunate to have such strong and sustained partnerships in place within our Skokie community.  Preschool had an outstanding day of outdoor adventuring at the Emily Oaks Nature Center this week!
Thank you to the East Prairie School Education Foundation for providing this opportunity for our kids, families, teachers, and school!

Scales & Tails Family Zoo Event

For 53 minutes this morning the clouds parted and the rain stopped so we could host our Traveling Zoo Preschool Family Event!  And what a show it was!

Thank you to Beth Wagner of Scales and Tails Traveling Zoo and our preschool team for coming together to create a safe, fun, and engaging community event for our youngest panthers and their families!

EL Transformation

“The greatest influence on student progression in learning is having highly expert, inspired and passionate teachers and school leaders working together to maximise the effect of their teaching on all students in their care.  There is a major role for school leaders: to harness the expertise in their schools and to lead successful transformations” (Hattie, 2015).
Our EL team in action developing the beliefs, practices, structures, and systems to more fully support our ELs and all students.  We are excited to continue moving forward with this important work!

Student Learning!

It's what we're all about!  Throughout core instruction, additional acceleration block support, and collaborative team meetings we are hyper-focused on making sure EVERY child learns at high levels.  Here is a peek into what that looks like in 4th grade.
